Step 1: From the top navigation, click on the Content drop-down and then Global Alerts.

This will bring up the listing page that shows all items.
Step 2: To create a Global Alert item, click the Create a Global Alert button. The Create dialog will appear.

Step 3: Fill out the fields.
Title your global alert, then select the type of alert. For Global Alerts, the Type of Alert determines which icon appears with the alert. Then, fill in the URL Text (the displayed content of the alert). The Alert URL is the page your website users will be directed to if they click on the Alert. The optional Content box would be sub-text to the main alert, not clickable but allows you to provide more information about the alert.

Step 4: Status the Content
Using the status bar, make the content live on your website by clicking the Publish button.

Note: To view the content prior to publishing, you can use the preview feature. This will show exactly how the content will look once published. To preview, click the Preview button (content must be statused as draft prior to previewing).
