Create a Publication (Articles, Presentations, etc.)

Introduction:

Videos are best viewed on a full screen at 1080p resolution.

Depending on what version of the CMS your website uses, the Content drop-down may display Services instead of Practice Areas.

Step by Step Instructions:

Step 1: From the top navigation, click on Content drop down and then Publications.

Dashboard - Content - Publication

This will bring up the listing page that shows all items.

Step 2: To create a publication, click on the Create a Publication button. The Create dialog will appear.

Step 3a: Fill out the main fields.
The mandatory fields are Title and Main Content (Rich Text Field). These fields are essentially the bare minimum that should be added to when creating an item. For publication items, the Type of Publication (Classification Field) helps to further classify the publications for filtering.

Step 3b: Fill out the external source field if the source is external.
If you click the Link Directly to External URL check box, the link from your list page will go directly to the external source page - not an internal details page.

Step 3c: Fill out the optional interlinking fields.

Step 4: Status the Content.
Using the status bar, make the content live on your website by clicking the Publish button.

Note: To view the content prior to publishing, you can use the preview feature. This will show exactly how the content will look once published. To preview, click the Preview button (content must be statused as draft prior to previewing).
